backcountry skiing with mountaineering to get you higher into
more alpine ski terrain. Learn to ski couloirs, steeps and
wide open glaciers.

California, East Side of the Sierra. Only 4 1/2 hours from

Food: At California Alpine Guides
we strive to provide healthy and delicious gourmet backcountry
meals. Breakfast and dinner are provided by your guide / backcountry
chef while in the field. Special diets can be accommodated.
Prerequisites: Advanced skiers
with some previous backcountry skiing experience. Good physical
condition and the ability to carry an overnight pack all day
on skis. Level one avalanche course recommended, but not required.
