| An all-inclusive Joshua Tree rock climbing Thanksgiving
rock climbing adventure. Perfect for those with no previous
climbing experience or for intermediate climbers looking for
an exciting thanksgiving weekend full of lots of fun climbing
and good instruction. And of course, we will have a full Thanksgiving
turkey dinner cooked and catered by the guides at California
Alpine Guides.
We will run both our Introduction
to Rock Climbing 4-day Camp and our
Intermediate Rock Climbing Course 4-day Camp together
to cater to new climbers and experienced climbers alike during
our annual Thanksgiving rock climbing celebration. A number
of the CAG guides will be on hand to give you personalized
instruction and guiding on J tree climbs.
Conducted by American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA)
certified rock climbing guides. Rock climbing instruction
will include all the rock climbing basics such as belaying,
knots, rapelling, basic rock climbing anchors, movement of
face and crack climbs plus an introduction to multi-pitch
rock climbing. Of course, there will be plenty of rock climbing
on some of Joshua Tree's best rock introductory climbs.

Food & Camping: Breakfast
& dinner and non-alcoholic beverages are included and
prepared by your guide / camp chef. Full Thanksgiving dinner
with dutch oven roasted turkey and all the trimmings. Other
meal choices include classic gourmet camp cuisine such as
dutch-oven roasts and baked goods, grilled vegetables and
meats and campfire treats.
Four nights of camping is provided at a group site within
Joshua Tree National Park and tents and group camping gear
are included. Sleeping bag and pad rentals can be arranged
for an extra fee.
Prerequisites: No previous rock
climbing experience required.

Cost:
$600 per person for the Intro Camp
$700 per person for the Intermediate Camp
Includes: Breakfast and dinner
every day, except dinner the last day; Full thanksgiving dinner.
Joshua Tree National Park campsite fees and group camping
equipment (tents, group cookware); All technical rock climbing
equipment except rock climbing shoes is provided (shoe rental
can be arranged).
