Fransisco & Sacramento:
Mount Shasta City is
located on Interstate 5 approximately 50 miles south
of the Oregon border. Driving time from Sacremento,
CA. is approximately 4 hours.
From Eastern California
& Reno, Nevada:
From Reno, NV. go North
on Hwy 395 to the town of Susanville. Continue West
on Hwy 36 until the junction with Hwy 44 approx. 8
miles West of Susanville. Turn right on Hwy. 44 and
continue approx. 60 miles to the junction of Hwy 89
at Old Station. Turn right on Hwy 89 and continue
to Mount Shasta city and the junction of Interstate
5.

McBride Springs
(elevation 4,780 feet)
McBride Springs located at the 5-mile marker about
6 miles from the Bunny Flat trailhead. There are restrooms
and drinking water available, and the 9 sites available
are surrounded by tall pines and firs. The campground
is closed during the winter.
Sand Flat
(elevation 6,800 feet)
Another site available for camping is at the Sand
Flat trailhead located about a mile below Bunny Flat.
There are two parking lots each a mile apart and both
have a dirt road which form a loop. During the summer,
the Flat makes for an excellent overnight camp.
