Joshua Tree National Park
Travel Information

Joshua Tree National Park is home to our Southern California rock climbing school. We run our Joshua Tree rock climbing holidays from October through April in this desert rock climbing wonderland. The town of Joshua Tree and Yucca Valley is the closest for lodging, groceries and supplies. Below is some useful information while visiting the Joshua Tree area.

Travel Directions To Joshua Tree

From Los Angeles, CA (131 miles):
Head East on the I-10 Freeway towards Palm Springs. From the I-10 Freeway, merge onto State Route 62, marked with a large, brown State sign announcing the “Joshua Tree National Park” exit. It is just a few minutes past the Hwy 111 exit. Drive the SR 62 up two large grades, approximately 35 miles, through Yucca Valley to the community of Joshua Tree.

From San Diego, CA (156 miles):
Take I-15 North to Hwy 215 to Route 60 East. Route 60 will merge into I-10 Freeway East. Follow the directions from the Los Angeles area for the remainder of the trip.
