A high altitude mountaineering expedition to the Volcanoes
of Ecuador. We offer two trips:
- A 9-day Cotopaxi & Cayambe trip
- An extended 14-day trip that adds on Chimborazo.
Cotopaxi is one of the most beautiful mountains
in the world and a truly spectacular mountain climb and Cayambe is also a challenging, but technically easy peak. The Chimborazo extension adds an additional mountaineering challenge for those with some previous mountaineering experience.
We are now offering two sets of dates to coincide with the best climbing season for the Ecuador Volcanoes, late spring and late fall.

international climbing trips this spring and falll. Climbing the Ecuador volcanoes with a highly trained and internationally certified American
mountain guide is a perfect trip for those who just want a
taste of high altitude climbing or for those with even larger
mountains and mountaineering expeditions in mind.
Climbing Chimborazo, Cotopaxi & Cayambe requires basic ice axe and
crampon skills. Your American mountain guide will review all
the glacier skills necessary to climb these magnificent Ecuador
volcanoes.
We provide private ground transportation utilizing a local logitics company throughout Ecuador
and our lodging choices are among the finest with your comfort
and enjoyment in mind. We also build in flexibility into our itinerary in case of inclement weather..
Level: Participants on the Cotopaxi & Cayambe 9-day trip are not required to have any previous mountaineering experience although it is recommended. For the Chimborazo add-on, climbers are required to have previous ice axe and crampon experience. For all the climbs, you must be in very good physical shape.
