Looking to take your ice climbing to a new level
or just want want something a bit more challenging than our
intro trip? This trip is for those who have taken an intro
ice course or have previous ice climbing experience and would
like to experience steeper and multi-pitch ice climbing.
After a quick review of basic techniques, You will learn
advanced ice climbing techniques with instruction in advanced
movement on ice, ice protection and anchoring, leading techniques,
and muti-pitch ice climbing. For those with big mountains
in mind, there’s no better way to hone your skills.
This is a complete introduction to the world of multi-pitch
waterfall ice climbing.
Location: Lee Vining, which
is approx. 35 minutes north of the resort town of Mammoth
Lakes. Five hours from Los Angeles and Five hours from the
SF Bay area.
Prerequisites: Previous ice
climbing experience required, including a working knowledge
of basic climbing knots and belay techniques. Any questions?
